ISDN 10/20/30 Phone Lines
ISDN 10/20/30 can be a great solution for medium to larger businesses that need 10+ phone lines. ISDN (Primary rate) means that you buy phone lines in bundles of 10 not bundles f 2 like their smaller ISDN 2 counterparts. (Some carriers now also allow you to add smaller increments)
What is the benefit?
Cheaper phone line rentals that can save you $1000's. Primary rate services from carriers come t significantly reduced line rentals. Sometimes in excess of $10 per line, per month. When you multiply that by the number of phone lines you may have it quickly adds up.
Direct In Dial numbers for staff (100 number block)
One of the greatest features of ISDN is the ability to have an optional 100 number block (or in dial range).
So what does this actually mean for you?
Rather than only having one advertised number like traditional PSTN lines, ISDN allow you to have individual numbers for all staff members (it is up to you who gets their own numbers). No doubt you’ve experienced this with colleagues business cards – a main number and their own private number.
The 100 number in dial range is not to be confused with actual phone lines. If you have 100 staff but just 6 phone lines then your business can only receive a maximum of 6 phone calls at once. This is in spite of the fact that all 100 staff may have their own numbers. Number do not equal lines with DID. Please note that DID is an extra feature of ISDN and costs approx $35 per month.
Phone lines can be confusing but don’t worry. Our experienced staff will take care of all your needs. You won’t have to become a phone line expert. All you need to do is let us know what you’re trying to achieve and we’ll match that to the best and most cost effective phone line solution.
Some carriers may claim that ISDN call quality is superior but unless you’re an audiophile with measuring equipment you won’t be able to tell the difference.
